Reggae Night

The third and final show of Nostalgia Nights is another trip down memory lane. Reggae Night at Axum was always a party. I remember doing these crazy medleys trying to see how many tunes we could fit over the song we were playing. We infused jazz, rock and blues improvisation over reggae grooves just in case you didn’t get enough on Jazz Funk Night. Musicians like Connis Vanterpool on sax and the late Tony Thewett on trumpet would come by and jam. So in this spirit we have special guests like Betti V, Connis Vanterpool, Olivia Murray and more stopping by to bless us with their talents. It’s going to be a celebration of life and honoring the memory of all the musicians on St Maarten who were taken from us way too soon.
